This is one of the nicest dining experiences in Dorset. Welcome to 10 Castle Street, a private members club and a small hotel in a Grade II listed property on Dorset's Cranborne Estate. Within this wondrous setting of formal gardens and ancient woodland this arty outpost with an urban feel yet retains its old fashioned country house charms.

The ground floor comprises of a 40-seater restaurant, tasting room, pillar bar, drawing room and the blue room, whilst the first floor is exclusively reserved to 10 Castle Street members with a private restaurant, members bar and nine bedrooms.

The location is the perfect backdrop for the magnificent sculptures and works by various artists that adorn the walls, building and the gardens. These are selected by in-house art consultant, Rebecca Bateman and are an important part of the ambience.

Then there is a huge vegetable garden and pigs to place an emphasis on very local, high quality produce for the talented head chef who brings his skills for producing innovative seasonal dishes.

A perfect destination for an overall atmosphere of relaxed authenticity.

If you would prefer to learn whilst you eat, and see the chefs make every dish, the tasting room can seat up to 16 people. Set under a glass roof with a unique view into the kitchen, this private yet airy space allows you to see each course being created and then served to you with the perfect bottle of wine.
