Enjoy the decadent and quintessentially English tradition of taking afternoon tea in the iconic surroundings of Hotel Café Royal. The masterfully crafted menu, featuring savouries, fancies, scones and over 30 tea blends, is served in the totally exquisite Grade II listed Oscar Wilde Lounge; dating back to 1865; and service is accompanied by a live pianist. It is the very room that Oscar Wilde fell in love with Lord Alfred Douglas, Aubrey Beardsley debated with Whistler, David Bowie retired Ziggy Stardust and Mick Jagger, the Beatles and Elizabeth Taylor danced the night away.

Sittings for afternoon tea take place daily, from 2pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 5pm Friday and 12pm to 5pm weekends and bank holidays. View the website to see seasonal afternoon tea offering. Booking in advance is highly recommended.
