Overview

Sensitively renovated, Crossbasket is a stunning 17th century castle transformed into one of Scotland's most luxurious hotels and event venues, with many unique period features inside and out, all restored to their original beauty.

The luxury nine bedroom boutique hotel and Albert Roux and Michel Roux Jnr restaurant re-opened in May 2016 and offers guests the chance to experience a life of grandeur. It was once the home of Charles Macintosh (1766-1843), inventor of the waterproof cloth used in the manufacture of the raincoats that carry his name to this day. Redefined for the 21st Century, enjoy its sumptuous surroundings set in 14 acres and close to Glasgow with impeccable yet discreet service.
