Overview
Set in the heart of Bath, The Gainsborough Bath Spa is perfectly placed to explore the city and its surroundings. Originally built in the 1800's, the property occupies two Grade II listed buildings with distinguished Georgian and Victorian facades in the heart of the World Heritage Site and was named after the artist, Sir Thomas Gainsborough.
Paying homage to its colourful history, the hotel is designed by New York based Champalimaud Design to be welcoming, elegant, vibrant and social - a modern interpretation of a classic design.
The Restaurant with its Georgian architecture, original artwork and impressive wine wall is open to hotel guests and non-residents alike. Having cut his teeth at properties such as Hunstrete House, Homewood Park and Ston Easton Park, Chef Dan Moon's desire to constantly innovate creates exciting menus with exquisite cuisine and fresh, seasonal ingredients in a sophisticated yet informal environment.
