Jesmond Dene House

This lovely Arts and Crafts house is a salon of exceptional cooking in the heart of Newcastle. It has the feel of a little country manor set within the city and even boasts a delightful little garden.

The food is exceptional, much of it sourced locally and all of it beautifully prepared. Main courses include such gems as local grouse with bilberries, milkcap mushrooms, watercress and game chips. There is also a mouth-watering tasting menu that gives plenty of welly. The enthusiastic young sommelier has a sure instinct - making sound suggestions from an excellent list.
