Shaun Rankin received a Michelin star in 2005 for his first restaurant in the Channel Islands. He held this for eight years until the launch of his second restaurant in 2013 for which he was awarded a Michelin star just four months after opening. His latest venture at Ormer Mayfair continues this celebration in the accolades it has received since opening. It has been voted one of the top five restaurants in London by the Harden's Restaurant Guide 2018 and is consistently rated as one of the top 10 restaurants in London. Ormer Mayfair was also featured on the BBC MasterChef show.
Shaun brings the freshest produce from the Channel Islands with a focus on sustainably sourced ingredients: "I have built my reputation believing passionately that sustainably sourced, locally foraged and seasonal produce is absolute. My dishes are simple in their approach to highlight the wonderful flavours and beautiful quality of these ingredients. This passion, combined with the wonderful bounty of the Channel Islands and British fare, is at the heart of my cooking here at Ormer Mayfair." Channel Island local food is reflected in the Ormer Mayfair menu, offering seasonal produce including fresh lobster, crab, oysters, hand dived scallops, Jersey royals and hand-picked shoreline foraged herbs.
