The Gingerman

Popped in at an angle into a sloping Brighton street of elegant old facades, The Gingerman is a little distillation of the town itself. Gently quirky, solidly excellent and standing the test of time like a great cheese, this restaurant does what restaurants are meant to do: serves fantastic food well. Chef-proprietor Ben McKellar cooks beautiful dishes from first-class local ingredients with flair and verve. He is brave enough to let his cooking stand on its own two feet, without any pretentious flummery. The result is a joyful foodie experience in a genuinely excellent venue.
